TGM Gallery Adult Art Workshops 2026 | Contemporary Art in Tunis

TGM Gallery adult art workshops return this summer with a programme designed for adults who want to explore contemporary artistic practices through direct experimentation. From 3 to 5 August 2026, participants can join two workshops led by Tunisian artists whose work combines research, craftsmanship, and creative exploration. Together, the sessions encourage observation, curiosity, and personal expression while introducing different approaches to contemporary visual art.

Taxonomie Imaginaire with Bochra Taboubi

Every morning from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, visual artist Bochra Taboubi leads Taxonomie Imaginaire, a workshop inspired by organic forms, biomimicry, and the evolving relationship between humans and nature.

A graduate in product design from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis (ISBAT), Taboubi develops projects through drawing, sculpture, video, and installation. Her artistic practice invents fictional species and hybrid archives that question biodiversity, collective memory, and scientific imagination.

During the workshop, participants observe natural forms before creating their own imaginary organisms. They sketch, experiment, and build personal visual taxonomies that blur the boundaries between science and fiction. As a result, each participant develops a unique artistic language rooted in careful observation and imagination.

Linogravure with Emna Ghezaiel

In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, artist and university professor Emna Ghezaiel introduces participants to the art of linocut printmaking.

Ghezaiel graduated from ISBAT before completing a postgraduate diploma and a doctorate in visual arts at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Her artistic practice connects printmaking with cinema, music, and art history, creating works that combine technical precision with poetic expression.

Throughout the workshop, participants learn each stage of the linocut process. They carve original designs, prepare printing plates, and produce their own prints. At the same time, they discover how repetition, texture, and contrast can transform simple compositions into expressive visual works.

A Creative Encounter with Contemporary Art

Together, these workshops reflect TGM Gallery’s commitment to making contemporary art more accessible through learning, experimentation, and dialogue with artists. Rather than focusing only on technical skills, the programme encourages participants to explore new ideas and develop confidence in their own creative process.

Open to adults aged 18 and over, the workshops welcome both beginners and experienced artists. Whether participants choose to imagine new ecosystems with Bochra Taboubi or discover the craft of linocut with Emna Ghezaiel, they will leave with practical skills, fresh perspectives, and a deeper appreciation for contemporary artistic practice.
