AMAL Festival Tunisia arrives at FLÒ Gammarth on 24 July 2026 with a programme that celebrates today’s creative scene through music, visual arts, design, food and local craftsmanship. The festival invites visitors to experience Tunisia through the work of artists, musicians and independent creators. At the same time, it offers a fresh look at a country whose cultural identity continues to grow through new ideas and collaborations.

The project began during HOPE Festival Medina Edition, where AMAL first appeared as a temporary café during the month of Ramadan. It quickly became a welcoming place for conversations, live music and creative workshops. People gathered there to exchange ideas, meet artists and spend time together. Because of this success, the team decided to develop the concept into a festival. Today, AMAL Festival Tunisia continues that journey while staying true to its original spirit of openness and creativity.

Music stands at the centre of the festival. However, the programme avoids presenting a single style. Instead, it brings together artists with different musical backgrounds and creative approaches. As a result, audiences can discover the richness of Tunisia’s music through performances that connect tradition with new sounds.

Erkez Hip Hop combines mezoued, rap and live instruments in a performance full of rhythm and energy. The group shows that traditional music can continue to evolve while remaining connected to its roots. Their work builds bridges between generations and introduces familiar sounds to new audiences.

Meanwhile, Noor and Selim Arjoun present a more intimate performance. Their music brings together piano, vocals and film composition in a simple yet emotional dialogue. Together, they create an atmosphere where every melody tells a story and every performance invites the audience to listen closely.

Hamza Bouchnak OR KES TRA offers another musical experience. His concert transforms film compositions into a live performance created especially for the stage. As the music unfolds, audiences discover the emotional depth of his work through orchestral arrangements and powerful interpretations. The performance also highlights the growing place of film music within Tunisia’s cultural scene.

The evening ends with Afrika K7 Club. Their DJ set moves between mezoued, raï, funk, disco and North African club sounds. At the same time, it celebrates musical influences that have travelled across generations and borders. The result is a dance floor where heritage meets today’s electronic culture.

Even so, music is only one part of the festival. AMAL Festival also presents an illustration exhibition featuring emerging Tunisian artists. Their drawings explore identity, memory, cities and everyday life from different points of view. Some works celebrate familiar places, while others imagine new futures. Together, they show how illustration has become an important voice within Tunisia’s creative community.

In addition, visitors will discover traditions that remain part of daily life across the country. Machmoum, Henna, Harkous, Tunisian coffee and local street food all have a place within the festival. Therefore, the festival encourages people to experience Tunisia through all their senses.

Moreover, AMAL Festival gives space to independent Tunisian brands that continue to shape the country’s creative economy. Astro Wear, Rhood World, Afrika K7 Club, étncl, Shreeta, Bled and BANJER LAB represent a generation of designers and entrepreneurs who are developing original products and new ideas. Their work reflects creativity, innovation and local production. At the same time, it shows how independent businesses continue to play an important role in Tunisia’s cultural development.

For many years, Tunisia has been recognised for its archaeological sites, historic cities and Mediterranean coastline. These places remain an essential part of the country’s identity. However, they tell only one part of the story. Today’s Tunisia is also defined by musicians, artists, designers, filmmakers and creative projects that continue to shape its image every day. Their work deserves the same attention because it reflects a country that is constantly creating, experimenting and moving forward.
