Maison de Senteurs Celebrates 25 Years of Bringing Tunisian Scents to Life
By Tunez Magazine ·
Maison de Senteurs 25 years marks an important milestone for one of Tunisia’s most recognizable fragrance brands. Founded in 2001 by Rym Fakhfakh Ouenniche and Mondher Ouenniche, the company has spent a quarter of a century transforming local scents and traditions into products that resonate with customers across Tunisia and beyond.
From the very beginning, the brand drew strength from a rich family heritage. Rym Fakhfakh Ouenniche comes from a family known for producing floral waters, while Mondher Ouenniche grew up in a family involved in the trade of spices and dried fruits. As a result, both founders developed a deep appreciation for fragrance, craftsmanship, and natural ingredients.
Rather than follow international trends, they chose to celebrate Tunisia’s own olfactory identity. In particular, jasmine, orange blossom, rose, verbena, and olive became central elements of the brand’s collections. Consequently, Maison de Senteurs created a distinctive identity that immediately connected with local consumers.
At first, the company operated as a small artisanal workshop. However, its commitment to quality quickly helped it gain recognition. Over the years, Maison de Senteurs expanded its catalog to include perfumes, soaps, shower gels, body lotions, hand creams, massage oils, and home fragrances. In addition, the company continued to introduce new collections inspired by Tunisian traditions and Mediterranean scents.
Customers embraced the brand for several reasons. First, the products offered quality and authenticity at accessible prices. Moreover, they reflected familiar aromas that many Tunisians associate with childhood memories, family gatherings, and everyday life. As a result, Maison de Senteurs became a trusted name for personal care products and gifts.
The success of Maison de Senteurs 25 years later demonstrates the strength of locally inspired entrepreneurship. Indeed, the company built a loyal customer base by highlighting Tunisian heritage rather than imitating foreign concepts. Furthermore, it proved that local brands can compete successfully in a market often dominated by international names.
As the company grew, it also looked beyond Tunisia’s borders. While maintaining its production and creative roots in the country, Maison de Senteurs gradually expanded its international presence. For example, the brand established a presence in Paris and introduced foreign consumers to Tunisian scents and craftsmanship. Therefore, it strengthened its position as an ambassador for Tunisian know-how.
At the same time, innovation remained a key part of the company’s development. New collections allowed the brand to adapt to changing consumer expectations. Nevertheless, Maison de Senteurs never abandoned the values that shaped its identity. Instead, it continued to combine tradition, quality, and authenticity with modern product development.
Environmental responsibility has also become increasingly important. In recent years, the company introduced initiatives aimed at reducing plastic use and encouraging recycling. Furthermore, it adopted more sustainable packaging solutions and promoted environmentally conscious practices. As a result, Maison de Senteurs aligned its growth with evolving consumer expectations and environmental concerns.
Today, the celebration of Maison de Senteurs 25 years represents far more than a business anniversary. Instead, it highlights twenty-five years of preserving and promoting Tunisia’s fragrance heritage. It also recognizes the vision of its founders and the loyalty of the customers who supported the brand throughout its journey.
Meanwhile, the company continues to look toward the future. While honoring its roots, it remains committed to innovation and expansion. In doing so, Maison de Senteurs seeks to bring Tunisian fragrances to new audiences while preserving the traditions that inspired its creation.
Ultimately, the story of Maison de Senteurs 25 years is a story of passion, resilience, and cultural pride. From a modest workshop to a nationally recognized brand, the company has demonstrated what is possible when entrepreneurship and heritage come together. As it enters a new chapter, Maison de Senteurs continues to prove that Tunisian expertise and creativity can achieve lasting success both at home and abroad.
