The event aims to raise awareness, provide information, and empower women as well as health professionals around the specific challenges related to women\u2019s pain.<\/p>

Why a conference on women\u2019s pain?<\/p>

Pain is not experienced in the same way by everyone, and many studies show that women\u2019s pain is often underestimated and less adequately managed by the medical system compared to men\u2019s pain. This can lead to delays in treatment or inaccurate assessments.<\/p>

Recent medical conferences, such as those organized by the French Society for the Study and Treatment of Pain, have highlighted gender disparities in pain management, drawing attention to conditions such as endometriosis or osteoarthritis in women.<\/p>

From a neurobiological perspective, the perception and modulation of pain may differ between women and men, with consequences for subjective experience and therapeutic response.<\/p>
